Fresh thinking for managing water demand across England and Wales

The water sector faces pressures from increased demand, driven largely by population growth, the effects of climate change on resource availability and the need to protect the aquatic environment. A recent report from Ofwat explores how can deep reductions in household water demand can help ensure a resilient water sector over the next 50 years. The report looks at various scenarios for deep demand reductions that result in PCC to levels between 90 and 50 litres/person/day.
