MORRISON UTILITY SERVICES SUPPORTS ARMED FORCES RESETTLEMENT WITH CAREER TRANSITION PARTNERSHIP
Morrison Utility Services (MUS), the UK’s largest, dedicated, independent utility service provider, is lending its support to armed forces resettlement through an agreement with The Career Transition Partnership (CTP).
As the official Ministry of Defence (MoD) provider of resettlement support for those leaving the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force and Marines, the CTP operates as an intermediary service for employers wishing to hire service leavers. To date, The CTP has assisted over 180,000 Service leavers with the transition to civilian life and supported thousands of organisations looking to employ ex-Service personnel.
Morrison Utility Services Executive Director Sean Kelly commented: “Armed forces recruitment forms one key element of our overarching people strategy that aims to attract, develop and retain the very best people to our business, developing our core capabilities to meet the challenges our industry presents both now and in the future.
“Across our business we have seen many examples of highly skilled, committed and capable service leavers who are making valuable contributions as employees thanks to their transferrable skills and leadership qualities. We are now working closely with CTP to create new, structured career pathways within our business for service personnel at the end of their engagements.”
Having presented at several armed forces resettlement fairs over the past 12 months, the MUS training and resourcing teams, along with representatives from the contracts, including the Western Gas Alliance (working on behalf of Wales & West Utilities) and tRIIO (working on behalf of Cadent), will present at the forthcoming CTP events –
- 15th February – Salford, AJ Bell Stadium
- 22nd March – Newbury Racecourse
- 19th April – Newark Showground
- 10th May – Edinburgh, Murrayfield Stadium
