Consultation on the draft National Policy Statement for Water Resources Infrastructure

Defra wants to know whatyou think about the draft National Policy Statement (NPS) for Water ResourcesInfrastructure.
In particular,Government is keen know if the draft NPS provides an appropriate andeffective framework to make decisions on development consent applications.
The NPS sets out the need and government’spolicies for development of nationally significant infrastructure projectsrelevant to water resources in England. The types of infrastructure thatthe NPS will specifically apply to are reservoirs, water transfer anddesalination projects.
