Water Dragons Alumni Showcase

Since 2008, 350+ companies have come through Water Dragons, pitching brilliant, practical answers to real water-sector problems. Innovations have spanned everything from easier access to water mains and better flow measurement, to faster pipe repairs with shorter shut-offs, trenchless in-situ lining, real-time sewer blockage detection with CSO mitigation, activated sludge optimisation, and sharper leak detection. In short: if it helps the sector work smarter, safer, or cleaner, it’s shown up on the Dragons’ stage.

Each year kicks off with our first heat in partnership with the Canadian High Commission - a nod to the programme’s global DNA. Finalists deliver a tight eight-minute pitch, then face quick-fire, constructive grilling from the judges before we crown a Highly Commended and overall winner.

This alumni event is our chance to bring the whole ecosystem back together - innovators, water company innovation leads, Tier 1 & 2 contractors, and investors - to swap stories, share what’s next, and spark the collaborations that turn great ideas into everyday impact.
