Water Dragons Helps Raise Profile of New Coating Technology
Adler and Allan Protective Coatings uses innovative coating technology which is highly advanced, environmentally friendly and fast acting. Outside of the UK the popularity of this new coating technology is growing fast, however within the UK it is still relatively unknown. Adler and Allan was aware of Future Water Associations Water Dragons competition and decided this would be an ideal platform to raise awareness of the coating technology to the UK water sector; one of its key target markets.
Tim Farley, Asset Resilience Advisor at Adler and Allan, presented the product at the Midland’s regional heat, which took place at Future Water Association’s Head Office in Kenilworth.
The competition was extremely tough, with several innovative products vying for a place in the Grand Final at South Staffs Water and unfortunately the Adler and Allan narrowly failed to make it through to the next round.
Tim Farley explains “We were disappointed not to make it through to the finals. However, from the heat we knew that the exposure was immensely valuable and so we decided to exhibit at the grand finale. This gave us another opportunity to talk directly with key decision makers within our main target market, water. The outcome of which included a meeting with a water company, the opportunity to quote for project work and a ‘lunch and learn’ demonstration to teams of engineers. As a direct consequence of this we have now received our first project order from a new water client and are rapidly developing a programme of future works. Taking part in Water Dragons has opened up many doors for use, helped facilitate meetings and drive engagement from high calibre business contacts”
