Stanton Bonna Invest £3 Million in New Plant After Winning Water Dragons
Stanton Bonna is a leading UK materials producer and part of Europe’s largest precast concrete producer, the Consolis Group. Stanton Bonna prides itself on developing innovative drainage systems, which includes the Watertight Manhole System developed to meet industry demands and Health and Safety regulations. The unique design of the Watertight Manhole System provides contractors with a high-quality product which is safer and quicker to install than other manhole solutions on the market.
One of the biggest challenges faced by organisations launching a new product is gaining exposure and educating people on the benefits and added value it brings. As long standing members of Future Water Association, Stanton Bonna was familiar with the Water Dragons competition and felt that it would provide an ideal platform for showcasing the new Watertight Manhole System to the water sector.
Stanton Bonna took part in the 2012 Water Dragons competition and won the Presentation Award; impressing the judging panel with its highly informative and engaging presentation.
The exposure gained from winning the competition was phenomenal as Neil O’Sullivan, Market Manager for Stanton Bonna explains, “Our Water Dragons win in 2012 gave us so many opportunities to get our product in front of the right people; the decision makers within the water industry. As a result, sales for our Watertight Manhole System have rocketed and we have recently made a £3 million investment to build a dedicated production plant enabling us to increase production and turn around orders quicker. We have also recruited a number of new employees to support the expansion.”
Neil continues, “Water Dragons has definitely given us a helping hand in launching our new product and I would highly recommend other businesses consider entering if they are planning to bring new products and services to market within the water sector.”
