Julian Britton

Rehabilitation Manager, Wessex Water

Julian joined the water industry working on supply schemes for Bristol Water in 1978, before moving to a number of pre privatisation agencies covering the Wessex Water’s network.

Focusing on sewerage, Julian spent some 15 years on major large diameter drill and blast and tunnel boring machine schemes, with a current value of £400 million. For the last 20 years he has concentrated on sewer renovation with a strong emphasis on innovation. Winner of the International Society of Trenchless Technologies (ISTT) ‘Innovation‘ Award in Rome 2007 and Toronto 2009.
