Water Discovery Challenge

Ofwat have announced the latest Innovation Fund competition – the Water Discovery Challenge. It aims to accelerate the discovery, development and adoption of innovations.

There’s £4m available with up to £50k for finalists (up to 20 prizes) and up to £450k (up to 10 prizes) for winners.

Ofwat have made changes to the arrangments for IPR rights. This is welcome as it means that finalist and winning teams retain all intellectual property rights and equity in their organisation and, importantly, entries can be made confidentially.

The Challenge is open now and closes on 5th April 2023.

Ofwat are running a series of webinarsto support entrants, particularly for those from outside the water sector. This culminate on 16th March with an entries clinic. If you have queries not addressed by the website informationor through the webinars, you can contact the Innovation Fund team.
