Portsmouth welcomes Institute of Water’s 2021 Annual Conference

Institute of Water’s 2021 Annual Conference – Collaboration is the ‘hot topic’ under review

Join Institute of Water as they revert to a ‘face to face’ format on 22 – 24 September in ‘Action Stations’, located in Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard.

Hosted by Bob Taylor, Institute of Water President-Elect and Chief Executive Officer of Portsmouth Water, the Conference is titled ‘Shining a Spotlight on Successful Collaboration’.

We will show examples of how collaboration in the widest possible sense has worked successfully – in doing so providing useful learning points for us all – so, as a taster, here are some of the areas we will look at:

  • The relationship between corporate culture, leadership, and successful collaboration
  • How competition and collaboration can successfully co-exist
  • The skills and tools that are essential for successful collaboration
  • Regulatory collaboration – is RAPID the model for the future?
  • The role of diversity and inclusion in successful collaboration
  • Removing blockers and barriers to support successful collaboration across the entire supply chain
  • Social aspects of collaboration – through nature-based solutions and social contracts
  • Great case studies from around the world and from a variety of business sectors

Portsmouth Water Chief Executive, Bob Taylor said:

“The programme is developing well and we can promise a hugely stimulating and engaging event with top quality speakers, lots of short, sharp panel sessions, active audience participation throughout, a Rising Stars section and great networking and socialising opportunities. Not to mention that this is all taking place against the backdrop of the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard with its numerous attractions such as the Mary Rose, HMS Warrior and many more, some of which will be used as venues for the Conference.”

“All of this, of course, is subject to COVID restrictions but we will be making every effort to provide a safe and hygienic series of venues.”

“There is already a big buzz around the Institute of Water Conference this year so please register soon and we look forward to seeing you at what we think will be a very special event in Portsmouth.”
