Future Water responds to the Water Innovation Strategy

Future Water welcomes the publication of the UK Water Companies 2050 Innovation Strategy. The organisation recommended this collective approach when launching ‘Transformation of the Water Sector’ document.

This strategy demonstrates collective responsibility, offering a route map for innovation, setting out the challenges and opportunities for engagement.

Future Water has had an active role in the discussions developing the thinking and believe that this will help open engagement with the suppliers.

Commenting on the document, CEO Paul Horton said “The strategy sets out the key areas where Open Innovation with the supply chain is critical, for example under the themes section ‘Delivering resilient infrastructure systems’ will help bring together innovators in technology with those organisations that develop nature based solutions for flood risk”
