Wet Networks Event: Innovation to adapt to the impacts of climate change.
29th February 2024 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The recent COP28 climate conference in Dubai highlighted how most of the impacts of climate change will be felt through water – too much, too little, too polluted. Whilst nearly 90% of climate mitigation is energy related; 90% of climate adaptation is water related. By fostering innovation, those of us working with water can create a more sustainable and resilient future, mitigating, and adapting to, the effects of climate change and promoting environmental stewardship.
Our next Wet Networks event on Thursday, 29 February focuses on the role of innovation in water to help communities to survive and thrive in the face of climate change.
The event is a great opportunity to meet and network with key players and innovative thinkers within the water sector. Our Chair Mark Smith (RSK Group) will be accompanied by Dr Gina Tsarouchi (HR Wallingford), Dr David Sarphie (AquAffirm) and Patrick Beckett (BioFiltro), who will be amongst those sharing their insights on water innovation and climate resilience.
