Global Leakage Summit
4 July - 6 July
Future Water is delighted to be supporting the Global Leakage Summit this year.
Now in its 12th year, the Global Leakage Summit returns to London as a LIVE and ONLINE event in July 2022. With a Pre-Conference Workshop on 4th July and a two day Summit on 5th and 6th July, the 2022 Summit will, as always, focus on latest advances in technology and software for data analysis, featuring the most innovative and successful examples of delivering and maintaining reduced leakage levels across the world. It represents an unmissable learning and networking opportunity for anyone involved in advancing leakage management and introducing water efficient strategies.
Here are some of our key speakers and the topics they will be presenting at the 2022 Summit:
Bob Taylor, CEO, Portsmouth Water. Bob is Day 1 Chair, and will introduce the conference theme on linking leakage reduction to resource management and environmental protection with a ‘twin track’ approach to water resources and demand management.
Margaret Read, Director of Stakeholders and Programme – RAPID, Ofwat, will elaborate on collaboration between regulators, to help reduce leakage and meet carbon reduction goals, and promoting infrastructure development
Richard Price, COO, Bristol Water, will be chairing Day 2 morning, and will be appraising delegates of the theme of the second day – managing infrastructure in a smart network – using the experience of his own company’s asset management policy
Andrew Donnelly, Adviser to the Board, Aguas de Portugal, will be sharing the experience of Aguas de Portugal in coping with the effects of Covid-19 on network operations – has there been a ‘long Covid’ effect?
Irmana Gomez Sampedro, Project Manager – Water, Christchurch City Council, New Zealand, is an expert on infrastructure management, and shares with delegates her experience of developing an asset assessment intervention framework, improving the ability to forecast pipe renewal investment and level of service scenarios
Mikal Willmott, Leakage Assurance Analyst, Severn Trent Water, and Fionn Boyle, Strategic Innovation and Shop Window Lead, Anglian Water, will be explaining how they have addressed the needs of the workforce in their session on ‘Enabling a Workforce for the Future’, and how their workforces are adapting to accommodate the twin challenges of leakage and carbon reduction targets.
