Data Conference – Digital Water: implementing change now

Following last year’s theme of ‘Data: Now & Beyond’, the British Water 2020 Data Conference will look at the digital transformation that is required to build a resilient water industry.
‘Implementing Change Now’ will provide an excellent international forum for sharing knowledge, results, theories, methodologies and applications of open data, smart collaboration and data analytics techniques to name a few.
‘Digital Water: Implementing Change Now’ will deliver valuable insights into how the water sector can manage data more effectively. Throughout the conference you will hear key stakeholders, including water companies and the supply chain, share information and practical advice on the best way to handle data and analytics – including tools and services currently available.
The conference kick-start with a collaborative keynote address from The Energy Data Taskforce, The Water Data Taskforce and BIM4Water on the roadmap to a common data-sharing environment and why is collaboration is key to achieving this in the water sector.
Track One session will provide you with the unique opportunity to hear from water companies and the supply chain about real case studies on how collaboration is also vital for meeting regulatory targets.
Track Two will deep dive into the practical ways of implementing data & analytics in the water sector in order to see a real transformation.
The day will be rounded off with a closing keynote from Highways England on the 2020-25 Strategy that changed the whole organisations’ approach to data. This was based on the evaluation that repositioned data as a strategic asset and compared like-for-like with physical assets.
