COP26: Energy Transition

1st July 2021 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

You are invited to participate in COP26: Energy Transition at 9am BST on Thursday 1 July.

Energy Transition is a critical part of of the Water Climate Discussion series, which are being held in the run up to COP26 in collaboration with 10 other Water Sector organisations.

Ivan Vølund, Head of Wastewater at VCS Denmark, will explain how Ejby Mølle WWTP has achieved 180% energy self-sufficiency through a series of cost effective optimisations, and how they have also seen energy saving projects increase overall greenhouse gas emissions. John Sammon of Scottish Water Horizons will discuss their heat recovery from wastewater and a number of other energy transition projects.

As well as providing inspiration on how others in the sector are achieving their energy transitions, you will be asked for your input, and plan to publish another report on the discussion, which we hope will include your contributions.

Please register here to join the discussion free of charge.
