Water Research Centre Limited (WRc) is primarily an Independent Centre of Excellence for Innovation and Growth. We currently operate across Water, Environment, Gas and Resource Management sectors, with clients that include regulators, water and gas utility companies, governmental organisations, NGOs, trade organisations, industrial manufacturers and waste management companies.

Building on a legacy in the international water and environment sector stretching back over 92 years, combined with the knowledge of approximately 150 staff based in Swindon, we bring a shared purpose of discovering and delivering new and exciting solutions that enable our clients to meet the challenges of the future.

WRc has a clear business strategy to achieve sustainable growth and we are now in our third year of this successful strategy. We have developed a series of complimentary products and service offerings that are truly innovative to the sector. This strategy has been developed through in-depth market analysis and engagement with a variety of industry stakeholders to increase our value propositions within a number of business areas in which we are active, such as; Asset Management, Infrastructure, Treatment Process, Catchment, WRc Academy (includes our Bookshop), Resource Efficiency and NCET (National Centre of Environmental Toxicology). WRc also has significant Evaluation and Testing Facilities on site which are used in the development and testing of technologies.
