The Water Technology List Review

Article Date: 31st August 2017

The Government’s Water Technology List (WTL) promotes products that encourage sustainable water use and rewards businesses for investing in them through the Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme. The ECA allows a business to offset the cost of purchasing eligible plant and machinery against its taxable profits.

The WTL not only aims to encourage businesses to invest in water saving equipment, but also aims to drive innovation and provide a marketing tool for manufacturers. The scheme is currently being reviewed to ensure that only the most innovative and water efficient products are supported. This survey will enable the WTL team to better understand the drivers that determine purchase choices when it comes to water saving equipment and the impact that the scheme has on those choices.

Individual answers will remain anonymous and the consolidated information will provide valuable insight that will feed into the review process.
