Morrison Utility Services (MUS), the UK’s largest dedicated utility service provider, and part of M Group Services, has been named winner of the 2018 Commercial Industry Sector category in the internationally-renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards.
The award was presented to MUS during a ceremony in Birmingham on July 5, 2018, marking the eighth year in which the company has been named by RoSPA as winner of the Commercial Industry Sector Award.
The RoSPA Awards scheme recognises achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement. It is the longest-running industry awards scheme in the UK and attracts entries from organisations around the world.
MUS Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Director Paul Kerridge commented: “Safety is our number one priority and we are delighted to receive this prestigious recognition from RoSPA. Our ‘Aiming for Zero Harm’ programme is designed to drive and maintain strong health and safety values, practices and performance across our business and this award is testament to the continued health and safety focus of our people.
“Once again, we have set the standard in health and safety for our sector. Moving forward, our objective is to continue to deliver exceptional health and safety performance across our organisation and on behalf of our clients and all those who come into contact with our organisation.”
Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of qualifications, awards and events, said: “The RoSPA Awards are the most highly-respected in the health and safety arena, with almost 2,000 entrants every year, and allow organisations to prove excellence in the workplace, demonstrating a commitment to the wellbeing of not only employees but all those who interact with it.”
